Free Range Berkshire Pigs
Our farm is located right on the edge of the Hamlet of Round Hill, which is situated on Highway 834 between Tofield and Camrose, approximately one hour Southeast of Edmonton, Alberta.
Our farm focuses on natural and sustainable farming, and comprises 78 acres which is currently a mix of pasture and cultivated land. Our herd of Berkshire pigs is pastured year round, and allowed access to sheltered housing whenever they choose. Our pigs are raised with the compassion and respect they deserve. We also source additional pork from another local farm so we have enough to keep up with the demand for our processed products.
Our farm is also the site of a modern 1500 ft2 meat processing facility, where all of our products are carefully produced. Customers are welcome to visit both the farm and meat facility, but please call ahead to make sure someone will be at home!
Our philosophy is to produce tasty, nutritious products using only natural and wholesome ingredients, many of which are produced locally.
Meat Processing Facility
We believe it is increasingly important that our family eat food that has had minimal processing, and is free from artificial additives, preservatives, colours and flavours. We do our best to ensure that the products that we sell are also produced in this way. Our customers are those who care about nutrition, quality, and food safety, and want to know where their meat comes from. We also focus on allergen free products - no wheat, dairy, nuts, eggs or soy is used in any of our products (except Sausage Rolls).
Buying locally is also of great importance to us
- when you buy locally, it strengthens the local economy and keep the dollars you spend closer to home. It also reduces environmental impact and ensures that local economies are more sustainable. In addition to these benefits, you help to retain the character of your local community, and most of all you get to eat tasty, nutritious food.
